Haven't had authentic tacos like this since when I lived in California. I moved to the Midwest in 2014 and have struggled to find authentic tacos like the ones I grew up with in California ever since - I failed to find any when I lived in Kentucky but now that I'm in Cleveland, I think I've found my place.

These tacos are simple in nature - corn tortillas with a meat of your choice - exactly how it should be. The real treasure lies in the toppings bar they have, where you have your choice of at least 5 different salsas, finely chopped cilantro, onions, guacamole, lime, and a fabulous chipotle crema that blows my mind every time. My favorite is their chorizo, but I can attest that the Barbacoa, carnitas,  and carne carne are also delicious. I wasn't a fan of the chicken but that is just personal preference.

If you like delivery, they deliver very well also and as long as you specify what you want, they'll add in your toppings as well.

As for the supermarket portion, the selection is fabulous. I love to get my spices here for the sheer variety they offer. Truly a wonderful spot, 10/10 would recommend!

Hard to say anything more than has already been said about this outstanding little spot. They do (now) take credit cards, so cash is not a must anymore.

I ordered a trifecta of soft tacos...carnitas, al pastor and chorizo. Each one of them was outstanding, succulent and dripping (quite literally) with flavor! Not sure I could choose a favorite, nor have i sampled all the meats yet to know which one(s) are truly my favorites. Don't forget to also go nuts with their extensive salsa and sauce bar; I bet the total flavor combinations between proteins, toppings and sauces are nearly endless. You can create just about any kind of mild, medium or hot flavor profile you choose, then cool it down with guac or sour cream if you wish. Just fantastic!

Throw in some Jibarito sodas and a little dessert, and you have a meal fit for a king (or queen) and you'll NOT walk away hungry...or it's your own fault!  Enjoy!

This place is as good as the hype.
Small food section attached to a pretty large supermarket (with tons of homemade tortillas, chips, guacamole and various Mexican sodas/snacks)
This place reminds me of places I go to in Cali. Mom and pop with just good food for cheap.
A lot of their clientele are Mexican so you know it's authentic. They even say it's the best!
I would recommend the torta as well as the nachoes! But bring a friend or two because the quantity is insane.

After just getting back from Costa Rica I was anxious to visit La Plaza and find some local favorites. I didn't find many local Costa Rican favorites, but I did enjoy the authentic mexican bakery and produce! I've shopped here before when making mexican themed dinner, and I always get excited to see the fresh produce...cactus leaves!  I picked up some corn mesa flour to make my tortilla's and Lizano sauce to put on everthing! We stopped for a taco on our way out which was amazing and had a line out the door. Loved the condiment bar!

La Plaza is what's totally good in every way possible  as this market screams home for me being born and raised in California you can find an awesome market like this just about everywhere and trust me living there you kinda take them for granted as here in Ohio gems of a supermarket like this are far and few between!

Coming here we totally just came for the tacos as I've been craving legit goodness for weeks now and what I found here was nothing short of delicious as I got an asada taco as well as a carnitas both of which were just as good as back home and with the salsa bar to add everything thing to make them just that much better you so know I was a happy girl!

What could be better than the tacos you ask it had to be the awesome super flavorful pastor quesadilla as it was packed with meat and cheese so much so it couldn't contain itself as the yummy pastor kept falling out which is never a bad thing when there is too much meat!

So after my much needed food and Jarritos fix it was time to explore the market and what to find other than everything I could possibly want to start cooking delicious Mexican food at home so you know I stocked up on just about everything as ingredients like this are hard to come by here!

Overall delicious food an a super killer market with very reasonable prices it's without a doubt this is one of the best places I've found since moving to Ohio! You soo know I'll be back here again hopefully soon!
